Comox in Autumn
I was so glad to recently to share an evening in Comox with this beautiful family. It was such a delight to be in their company, and I am glad to share some of the photos. Photographing families has become something I really look forward to, now that I have figured out how to make it FUN! One of my favourite ways to plan a session is to visit somewhere that the family holds precious, and take an adventure there together….
Solace Spa
Tucked away on the south end of Salt Spring Island, beneath the comforting boughs of the majestic Douglas fir trees, Solace Organic Spa is a sanctuary where people come to connect with self, with nature, and with one another. Founded by Holistic Wellness Practitioner Julie James in 2004, Solace has evolved as a reflection of her deep connection with her inner self, her community, and the land…..
Jane’s Dough
Vanessa Sabourin & Greg Barnes. This isn't just a story about bread; it's also a story about love. Not the everyday kind, but the rare kind - the kind that feeds you and challenges you in all the right ways — the kind most people only dream about. Vanessa and Greg, co-owners of Jane's Dough, have created a beautiful life together — one that now just so happens to feature bread. Bread they shape, bake, and share with whole-hearted love.
Mother/Daughter/Cat and Doggo
It was such a pleasure to photograph Tracy, her daughter Joey, and their creature companions, Frankie and Roo. I’ll share a little selection from our session, and a kind review from Tracy. This session was in the summer of 2025, in Victoria, BC.
My Photo Story
If I were to describe the hopes for my future with photography, it would be documenting people and projects dedicated to making the world a safer, greener, kinder place to be. I would love to focus on change-makers, and those those leading the way in our perceptions on permaculture, birth, healing, natural burial, cultural education, poetry, conservation, sustainability, meditation, dance, biology, ecology, politics…basically anything that adds to our quality of life in a meaningful and connected way. I want to make photos that honor our kinship with the earth, and highlight people, businesses, and project that are in alignment with that kinship.
