A few photos in Folklife Magazine (Update!)

I am a happy contributor to FOLKLIFE magazine, an award winning publication that shares the ambience, values, stories, philosophy and beauty of the Gulf Islands and the ‘island life’ of British Columbia.
This is what the magazine has to say about their project…

”FOLKLIFE is a premium semi-annual print publication inspired by island dwellers who live close to the earth, move with intention, and craft life as an art form. Evoking fine craftership with its minimalist design, matte aesthetic, poetic editorial, and vibrant photography, the 128-page beauty FOLKLIFE honours art and agriculture, business and creativity, food and farming, and dwellings and nature, all with a goal to slow the FOLK down. Each issue explores one theme through engaging interviews, stories, photographs, recipes, and artwork, celebrating and connecting those who live simply and sustainably.

The Salish sea and the islands it encompasses are the traditional, unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples of Cowichan, Penelakut, Hwlitsum, BOKECEN, CUAN of the WSANEC, TEKTEKSEN, STA,UTW, SKEUWEWC, Halalt, Homalco, K’omok, Klahoose, Lyackson, MALEXEt, Qualicum, Snuneymuxw, Tsawout, Stz’uminus, and Tla’amin, their home since time immemorial.”

I have now made 3 of their covers, and some images to go along with their articles. I look forward to more projects with their great team, in the future editions.
