After 15 years of international travel exploring a diversity of world philosophies, art practices and cultures, Stasia returned to the west coast of Canada to attend Emily Carr University where she graduated in 2009. Her multi-disciplinary work includes poetry, drawing and photography. She often merges these forms through collage, using her own photographs, drawing and text. Her themes are shelter, abstract eroticism, utopic symbology, and the human body in responsive relation to urban and natural environments. She is happily influenced by the creative community of Vancouver and often counterpoints her city experience with extended seasons in solitary and rural situations. She is currently attending the creative writing program at Simon Frazer University and working on her next publication of poetry.
